General FAQ’s

Why don’t we sell products direct on the site?

Due to the excessive constraints and increasingly biased stance of e-commerce platforms, we find ourselves regrettably unable to facilitate firearm sales directly on our website. These platforms, driven by a one-sided agenda, have taken it upon themselves to unfairly target and stifle the lawful commerce of firearms. Despite our unwavering commitment to responsible firearm ownership and legal compliance, these platforms' overreaching policies create an atmosphere of hostility toward our industry. While we respect the diversity of opinions, these actions not only infringe upon our rights but also restrict your access to legitimate firearm options. We refuse to compromise on the principles that uphold responsible firearm transactions, and as a result, we are compelled to seek alternative avenues to provide you with the products and services you seek. We value your understanding during these challenging times and remain steadfast in our mission to uphold the rights of law-abiding citizens.

What do I need to purchase or pick up a firearm from you?

You only need to provide a current government issued photo ID with a correct name, address and date of birth. If you have a current Arizona Concealed Carry Permit, bring that as well. It will speed up several parts of the 4473 paperwork process.

How old do I have to be to purchase?

In the State of Arizona you must be 18 years of age to purchase a longun (rifle or shotgun). To purchase a handgun you must be 21 years of age and in good standing with the law.

What would prevent me from getting a firearm?

In the State of Arizona most felony convictions will place you in a category known as a “prohibited possessor”, this means you can not buy or possess a firearm. There are only a few narrow exceptions to this by court order. If you have ever been convicted in court of any felony, including domestic violence, stalking, possession or sale of a controlled substance you are prohibited. It should also be noted that even if you possess a medical marijuana card for Arizona this would still prohibit you from owning/possessing due to current Federal Law.

By Federal Law if you fall into any of the above listed conditions you are prohibited as well. However there are odd events where individuals have been put on federal watch lists due to clerical errors. This can usually be resolved relatively easy but will take some work on your part and it is advised you use legal counsel to find out where the error is happening.

Please Note, The NICS office will never tell an FFL dealer what the reason for a failed background check is at any time, only that the check wasn’t passed.

What happens if a background check stalls?

If a background check has to be performed when you come in to purchase or pick up a firearm it can occur for several reasons. The first possible cause is that the NICS system is overloaded and just takes a bit to process the request. This can last anywhere from 3 to 20 minutes. If the process ends up in a “pending” status this means the system found something amiss and is looking to have it clarified. When this occurs there is a 3 business day (72 hour) waiting period, this does not however include weekends. IE, if a background check enters a pending state on a Friday at 1pm, then you won’t be able to pick it up till after 1pm the following Tuesday at the earliest. This is a standing Federal Law that we as FFL dealers have no control over.

It should be noted that in extremely rare cases, less than 2%, there are times when the 3 business day condition is met and a buyer picks up their firearm only for the FFL to be informed sometime thereafter that the background check failed. When this occurs we will gladly provide an option of bringing the firearm in for temporary holding to prevent the purchaser entering into a legal limbo/conflict condition with law enforcement or ATF and allow you time to get the issue resolved.

We charge a flat holding fee of $25 that is good for 6 months.

What kind of Gunsmithing services do you offer?

We are a full service gunsmith shop. We offer cleaning services, optics installation, stock work, firearms restoration, and cerakote just to name a few. We also offer machining & milling services, polishing and stippling.

Do you do appraisals?

We are more than happy to offer appraisals for most modern firearms. However in regards to firearms produced pre-1970 we offer a limited set of options currently. This will be expanding further in the near future. If you are looking to appraise for estate or insurance purposes we recommend you go to a specialist dealing in that level of information and detail work.

Do you offer hunting & fishing licenses?

At this time we do not offer the purchase option of hunting & fishing licenses. We recommend visiting one of the locally owned sporting goods stores around Tucson who offer state licenses.
